First Bloom:From Monoculture to Companion Plants

First bloom.

It's rose season, yes it is, and a few weeks ago I gave my rose bed a makeover inspired by an article in the new and improved Organic Gardening magazine. In hindsight, it's an obvious change really; I switched my rose bed from a fussy monoculture potential pest festival into a multi-culti growing patch with companion plants. So please join me in welcoming the first bloom and their new friends: scented geraniums, marigolds and onions.

Thanks Roses.
